A good ERP implementation depends heavily on automation. This module enables automated HR attendance by integrating Thumb / Face detection devices with Odoo. User configuration is possible for both the thumbing device and the Odoo employee form.

Integration of biometric devices
The "Biometric Manager" menu option is there.
By selecting this option, you can access the "device setup" submenu.
Biometric Management > Configuring devices
Here, you may configure the IP addresses and port numbers for all of your devices.

Machine IP: In this area, you can enter the IP address of your machine.

Port Number: You may enter a port number here; 4370 is the default.
Download the Attendance Log for Devices.
Once everything is set up, you may import the attendance log from your device using Odoo's "Download" button.
If a connected device has an attendance log, Odoo will download it. If not, the screen of Odoo will display the following warning message.


Erase the Attendance Log from the Device
Choose the 'Clear' option to erase all attendance records from the device as well as Odoo. If the device is not connected, the warning message below will appear.

Biometric Attendance Log Device
You can view all device attendance logs right here. With this application, you can quickly and correctly examine a worker's punching time by looking through the whole device attendance log.

Attendance by HR

In this case, as soon as the device attendance is downloaded, Odoo immediately creates an HR attendance log. The administrator can therefore immediately calculate the total number of hours worked and work hours.

Employee configuration
By giving current workers the "Device ID," which equates to the special identifier in the biometric device, you can update their information. If the device ID does not match the biometric device ID, a new employee will be instantly created.

Employee Module > Choose any of your workers > Time settings

ID for Biometric Device:

An HR settings page can be found on the employee module. You can enter a special identification for the device in the "biometric device ID" box there.

The business can systematically track each employee's attendance due to the use of this module. It records each employee's arrival and leaves times during working hours using biometric data.
